This day focuses on developing core interpersonal coaching skills, including listening, rapport building, and coaching models. Participants practise structured coaching approaches. The topics covered will include:

  • How to develop rapport and build trust with the individual

Day 3

Increasing Performance through Coaching

This day strengthens advanced questioning, coaching under performance challenges, and group coaching techniques. Participants explore coaching feedback practice to enhance performance. The topics covered will include:   

  • Using Advanced Powerful Questions technique for coaching
  • Coaching under-performers to high potential
  • Coaching practice
    • Coaching practice building on the learning from the three days of the course
  • Coaching in difficult situations, handling conflict and grievance
  • How to coach groups/teams for increased performance
  • Giving powerful feedback: technique and practice
Day 4

Developing Others to Coach

This day focuses on diagnosing development needs and creating development plans. Participants explore performance management links and practical coaching sessions. The topics covered will include:   

  • How and why people learn and develop
  • Diagnosing need: establishing the purpose of a coaching or mentoring session
  • Defining Performance Management in the business
  • Setting defined objectives for maximum performance
  • Action planning: creating realistic and stretching development plan
  • Coaching session with development planning
    • Utilising practical skills gained on the training course

Developing a Coaching Culture in the Organisation

This day explores how to embed coaching and mentoring into organisational culture, including policy development and practical application. Participants consolidate their learnings with feedback and planning for workplace application. The topics covered will include:   

  • Developing a Coaching (and Mentoring) culture in the organisation
  • Policies and procedures
    • Establishing coaching and mentoring policies and procedures
